Please read the following information (trail closures, opening hours etc.) before your visit to the Nature Park!

We are very much looking forward to your visit!
The Schulchten around the Ötscher are accessible again since May 1. On the peaks of the higher mountains is currently still some snow, this please take into account in various tour planning!
The Nature Park Center Ötscher-Basis is always there for you - we are available from Monday to Sunday from 8-16 clock by phone at 02728/ 21 100. You are also welcome to send us an email at info@naturpark-oetscher.at.
Road closures and road blocks
- Due to "imminent danger" the panorama road will be closed for an indefinite period!
- Hiking trail Vordere Tormäuer - Trübenbach:
The hiking trail is CLOSED due to forestry work/road construction from Tuesday, May 31, 2022 until further notice.
Alternative hike: The closed section of the trail can be bypassed over a large area (1 km) via the Sommerer Bridge / Devil's Church / Teufelskirche footbridge. The hiking trail to the Ötscher via the Bärenlacke from Trübenbach remains unaffected. - The hiking trail Mäuerlberg - Aufental (legend hiking trail in Puchenstuben) is closed due to woodwork until probably August 30, 2022.
- From Monday, July 11, 2022, the hiking trail No. 17 from Tagles to Herrenalm is closed for an estimated 3 weeks due to logging work!
Alternative route: Hike via the forest road - In the period from mid-August to the end of September 2022, the Erlaufklause dam is closed to vehicles due to renovation work. However, it is possible to walk on the dam wall! The parking lot Erlaufklause is not accessible.
Opening hours
The Ötscher-Basis Nature Park Centre in Wienerbruck is open daily from 8 am to 4:30 pm.
