Description
The hikes take you past the only three full-time farms in the Lackenhof/Langau area (Freudental, Reitbauer, Dachsbach). If you hike over the Polzberg to Gaming in summer, you have the opportunity to cool off in the solar-heated Ötscherlandbad. A visit to the Gaming Charterhouse is also recommended.
Sights in Gaming: Folklore collection in the arcades of the town hall, Marian column, pillory column from 1643, the Calvary opposite the Charterhouse (from the Calvary you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Charterhouse complex), the parish church - a late Gothic building completed in 1510.

Route description Polzberg (Charterhouse Trail)
Start at the village fountain in Lackenhof (810 m above sea level), over the Kreuzkogel to the "Radlweg" (hiking trail no. 3, not a bicycle path) to the junction towards Polzberg (hiking trail no. 7, Charterhouse Trail), down to the Lackenbach (720 m above sea level) and ascent through the forest, past the farms Freudental (820 m above sea level), Reitbauer, Dachsbach and Polzberg, about 40 m after the Polzberg Chapel (840 m above sea level) turn right down towards Schleierfall, through the Fallbach valley to the former Polzberg mill, then on the Schleierfall street downstream, past the Unterleiten house to the market (431 m above sea level). Return to Lackenhof with the VOR lines.
