Gemeindealpe-Mitterbach ski resort
Description
Challenging and action-packed
There are many reasons to spend a day skiing on the Gemeindealpe: for example, the steepest natural slope, the most impressive mountain panorama or the coolest snow park in Lower Austria. Despite the low lift density, almost 15.5 kilometers of diverse slopes entice you to enjoy a varied day of skiing. The freeride area below the summit also provides adrenaline rushes for experienced deep-snow virtuosos.
Dream panorama at the summit
A stop for refreshments at the Terzerhaus, which is fantastically located below the summit, is particularly worthwhile. The panoramic view at 1,600 m sweeps from Lake Erlaufsee over the Bürgeralpe and far into the Mariazellerland. In addition to the Terzerhaus, the alpine huts, "s'Balzplatzerl" and the "Zum Bäreneck" ski hut at the middle station invite you to stop for a bite to eat.
