Winterbach - Schlagerboden

The hiking tour starts at the parking lot of the Winterbach train station. From here, take the slightly off-the-beaten-path municipal road to the “Eierzeile” farmhouses. Continue along a forest and meadow trail to the Hinteregger Inn. From there, head to the B 28/B 39 intersection. Turn left and follow the farm road past the Haydn Adventure Farm and the Lindeben Farm. Take a cart path or meadow trail to the “Brückl” farm. Continue along the farm road, branching off to the Ortgraben municipal road and then to State Road 6159. Follow Schlagerbodenstraße to Höbarten, then turn right onto the Höbarten-Hochsatz farm road; after about 1.5 km, turn left toward Himmeleck. Then follow an asphalt road for about 1 km to the Schindlegg estate and continue along a cart path through lush meadows with panoramic views of the Danube, then take a forest trail to the “Rainstein” field monument. This is the end of the hike. The Rainstein is also the starting point for hikes to the Blasensteinwarte or via “Ramsau” through the Bodinggraben to St. Anton.
