The leisurely walk is ideal for stretching your feet. If there is not too much snow, you can also take a short detour along the waterway in the Hirschfeldspitz area. This is also ideal for children, who can learn more about the diversity of local fish.
Good footwear, clothing appropriate to the weather.
Starting from the village square in Mitterbach, follow the Seestraße for a short distance, turn right into Kapschgasse and follow it uphill past the evangelical church. After about 600 m, bear slightly right onto a forest road and walk downhill to the junction of the hiking trail towards the Erlauf reservoir. Turn right here, past Hirschfeldspitz and continue to the Erlauf reservoir refreshment hut (closed in winter). Follow the footpath on the right along the B20 back to the village square.
